The Three Insider Secrets to Content Repurposing for Entrepreneurs
If you have been in business for more than a few months, then you have content that you can repurpose. Look at the blog posts that you have already written. Also consider the emails that you have sent and your social media posts. The content that you have already created, plus the done-for-you content that you have bought can be repurposed for the benefit of your community. In today's episode of My Biz Dream Team: Opportunity Wednesday Training Series I will share with three of my insider secrets for content repurposing for entrepreneurs.
1. Find and Evaluate Your Available Content
This morning I spent about an hour searching for content on the topic of writing a non-fiction book. I had much more than I realized. There were several blog posts, emails, social media posts, and a few videos. I organized it into a folder and will come back to it later.
Now it is time for you to do the same thing. Go through your computer files, emails, videos, social media posts, images you have the right to use, and private label rights materials to see what is available. You may find more than you thought.
Then evaluate this material against the needs of your ideal client. How can this material help your ideal client deal with the pain she is feeling? How does your ideal client like to receive information? Remember, all your content must be focused on addressing the needs of your ideal client.
2. Change the Format of Your Content
Often when I talk to my clients about content repurposing for entrepreneurs, they immediately think about rewriting material. But I stop them and ask them to instead think about using the same content in a different format.
For example, you could take a blog post and turn it into a video. Or you could take that blog post and turn it into a e-course that you share with your mailing list. Perhaps you can take an email and turn it into a blog post. That is one of my favorite strategies.
Sometimes we send some of our best information to the people on our email lists. We should also consider sharing that information with the audience that reads our blogs. Think about the ways you can systematically begin to change a piece of content into another format that may better meet the needs of your ideal client.
For more information on creating your content strategy check out this blog post: Content Strategy-Your Goals and Plans
3. Use Your Content for Multiple Purposes
As I was looking through my pieces of content on writing a non-fiction book this morning, I came across a checklist that I had working on but had not finished. My original idea for the checklist was to send it to my email list. It occurred to me that the checklist could also be used as a blog post, a resource for my affiliates, and perhaps a bonus for one of my paid courses. I need to finish it. Then I can use the checklist for multiple purposes. I call this content repurposing on steroids!
Perhaps you are like me and have content that was originally intended for one purpose. But with strategic creativity, you can use the content for multiple purposes. Perhaps a video that you created can be part of a paid course, or a webinar, or a bonus to one of your products.
Remember to consider how your ideal client likes to learn. A visual learner may like images and graphics. An auditory learner may like to listen to podcasts and audio files. A kinesthetic learner may like step-by-step guides. A linguistic learner may like to read text. A transcript of a podcast may appeal to them. Check out the engagement for each piece of content that you share. The data will tell you which content speaks best to your ideal client.
Conclusion
Remember, my three insider secrets to content repurposing for entrepreneurs are to:
1. find and evaluate your available content
2. change the format of the content
3. use content for multiple purposes
By following my three insider secrets of content repurposing for entrepreneurs you are well on the path to repurposing content for the benefit of your community. So, do not worry if you cannot think of something new to create. Begin to be creative with content that you already have. You may be pleasantly surprised by how you can change the format of the content so that it can be of even more value to your ideal client. Additionally, you can also use the same piece for content for multiple purposes. I would love to hear from you about how you are repurposing your content!

How to Attract New Clients through Speaking and Writing
Imagine if you could attract new clients to your business? What would that mean to you? Getting more prospects to buy from you and become your clients is one of the best ways to grow your business. You know how it works. When more people buy from you, depending on your margins, you make more bottom line profits. Carefully look at what you are doing currently to attract new clients to your business. Are you doing what everyone else is doing in your niche? How are your results? Have you become a commodity? Perhaps it is time to do something different, if you want better results. Attracting new clients through speaking and writing can separate you from the masses in your niche. In this episode of My Biz Dream Team: Opportunity Wednesday Training Series we discuss 3 strategies that you can implement today to attract new clients. This episode highlights how you can attract new clients through speaking and writing on platforms that you control.
(1) The Power of the Podcast
One of the best ways to position yourself as an authority and attract new clients is to start your own podcast. Your podcast becomes your platform. As Michael Hyatt says in his seminal book, Platform-Get Noticed in a Noisy World, you need a platform (1) to attract an audience in a noisy world; and (2) to build a passionate loyalty with that audience. Your podcast allows you to give value before you receive anything from a potential client. Your podcast is your platform, not for you being the center of attention. Instead it is about sharing something of value and getting that message out to the world in a very powerful way.
According to a recent report by Edison Research, podcasts continue to grow. There has been a 75% increase in listeners since 2013. Podcasting is a smart way to connect with potential clients. It creates possibilities to reach new audiences. By speaking on a platform that you control, you can create an atmosphere of trust between you and your potential clients. Building trust is key. Remember that most people will not buy from you, until they know, like, and trust you.
For more in-depth information on starting your own impactful podcast look at the following resources: Podcasting Power; How to Easily Start Your Own Awesome Podcast; How to Avoid Making an Amateur Podcasting Mistake; Start Your Speech with a Powerful Hook.
(2) The Power of the Free Teleseminar/webinar
Like podcasts, a webinar/teleseminar provides a powerful link between you and potential clients. The promise of in-depth training will attract those interested in the topic. The free webinar/teleconference provides you with an opportunity to provide great service. This is another powerful way to develop a relationship with your clients. Dexter and I use this strategy to attract new clients during our live weekly teleseminar series. Our live weekly teleseminar series, along with podcasts and our blog help keep our clients as long-term consumers of the products, services, and experiences that we offer.
For more in-depth information on the value of using speaking and writing to attract new clients, see: Write, Speak, Broadcast: 3 Strategies for Success in 2017.
(3) The Power of the Blog
Starting a blog to consistently provide high quality information that is relevant to your target client is another way to attract new clients. A blog is a fabulous platform to showcase your expertise. Writing in-depth, 500-800 word, blog posts allows you to engage with your clients and offer your expertise in a non-threatening manner to potential clients. WordPress has become standard for establishing blogs. It is easy to set up and use. Here is a link to a recent post on setting up a blog that is a platform that you own and control. Once you blog created, then you must work to create an authority site. By authority site, I mean a place where you showcase your expertise and build a following for your ideas. Attract new clients to your blog with irresistible, relevant, and engaging content. For more in-depth information on the power of the blog, look at the following resources: How to Quickly Start an Awesome Blog; A Behind the Scenes Look at Blogging Made Easy; 12 Sources for Great Blog Content Ideas.
Conclusion/Call to Action
Learning to attract new clients through speaking and writing gives you opportunities to expand and grow your business in ways you never thought possible. Creating and building your own platforms using speaking and writing will get you noticed in ways that you never imagined. As you emerge as the authority and thought leader in your niche you become a magnet to your target clients.
Remember:
1. The power of the podcast
2. The power of the free teleseminar/webinar
3. The power of the blog
These 3 strategies will attract new clients through speaking and writing. Then watch as your bottom line profits improve.

How to Write a Book When You Don’t Have Enough Time
How to Write a Book When You Don't Have Enough Time
How to write a book when you don't have enough time? The failure to answer this question can lead you to give up your dream of being an author before you even begin. But given how important a published book is to your overall business growth, now is the time to look at what you can do to make that happen. If this question has kept you up at night, then this article is for you. This article discusses 3 strategies that you can use to become a published author. Even the busiest person can will be able to write a book using one of these three strategies.
The first strategy for how to write a book when you don't have enough time is to:
1. Outsource the Project
Who says you must write your book yourself? In the world of publishing, hiring a ghostwriter is a tried and true method for getting a book written. Many people including President Trump have used ghostwriters. A ghostwriter is a perfect tool if you:
· Do not have a “feel” for writing
· Simply do not want to write
· Are just too busy
Whatever your reason, working with a ghostwriter can make it easy to achieve your publication goals.
Ghostwriters are available in any budget. Be aware however, that you get what you pay for. While you may not want to pay several thousand dollars to hire top talent, you should not settle for the lowest cost providers either. You should interview several writers, look at samples of their work, and then choose the best you can afford.
Remember, you can always edit their work. But if you need to edit too much, what have you saved?
2. Repurpose Other Content
If you have been marketing your business for a while, chances are good you have a wealth of content that might easily be turned into a book.
• Your blog
• Email auto-responders
• Free opt-in gifts
• Paid products
• Podcast episodes
• Training webinars
All this material can be edited to become your book. Do not be afraid to reach into your archives to get your book published.
3. Speak Your Book
If you love to talk, then speaking your book just might be the trick that works for you. In fact, a cell phone is all you need to write your book on the go. Simply speak your book while waiting in line to pick up the children after school, while you are out for your morning walk, or between client calls.
We used this strategy to write one of our books. We started with an outline. Then we used an interview format to orally record our ideas and experiences. It was a fun and quick way to write our book.
After you have recorded your book, then send your audio files out to be transcribed. All that remains is to edit the transcription. You can edit it yourself. Or you could hire an editor. No matter how disjointed or awful the transcript looks, you will find it is much easier to edit the content than to start from nothing.
Conclusion/Call to Action
Do not let a lack of time hold you back from writing your book. There is no better way to build your audience and establish your expert status than to publish a book. You owe it to yourself and your business to get your book out there.
Remember you can use either of the following strategies to help you write a book:
· Outsource the Project
· Repurpose Other Content
· Speak Your Book

Content Strategy: Your Goals and Plans
Developing a content strategy is one of the basic aspects of building a business. It doesn’t matter whether your business is online or offline.
Earlier this week in my Mastermind Group my mentor challenged us to decide once and for all whether we were serious or not. My mentor wanted to know, “Is this a hobby or is this a business?” I am making this same challenge to you.
If you are serious about building a business, you need to understand content strategy. Otherwise your content marketing may not reach your target audience. Content marketing is how your prospective clients find you. Otherwise you are invisible and out of business. Do you want to be invisible? I didn’t think so? So what is your content strategy for reaching your audience?
What is Content?
So let’s begin with a basic question, “what is content?” Content is whatever your business puts out into the world to (1) market; (2) advertise; and (3) share. Blog posts are content. Email messages are content. The twitter tweets and Pinterest pins you share are and post are content. Quite simply, content is ultimately the foundation of your business. Your content is how you will build a strong and loyal client base and how you provide value to the world.
What is Content Marketing?
If you are serious about being a business owner you need to know that content is the message and medium you use to communicate with prospects and clients. Content marketing therefore is using content to market to your audience of prospects and clients. It is the practice of creating and distributing or publishing content to attract, engage, and convert your target audience into trusting clients.
Your business dream team can help you with content marketing. You may need a virtual assistant to help you with social media aspects, if that is not your strength. You may also want to contract with a ghostwriter, if you want to write a book. There are several professionals available to help you to create a business of significance that helps establish your legacy. To find out more about building your business dream team, you should consider buying our training program “The Ultimate Guide to Building Your Business Dream Team.”

Content Marketing for Entrepreneurs: What’s Your Goal?
Content Marketing for Entrepreneurs: What's Your Goal?
Content marketing for entrepreneurs is key to building a successful business. As an entrepreneur, you must be sure that the content that you create is doing the job.
The question is, how will it build your business? What’s the goal for your content? When you’re creating your content strategy you want to keep a few things in mind.
- You want to make sure that your content supports your long-term vision and mission.
- You want to make sure that your content puts your audience first. What value are you providing and how are you helping?
- You want to make sure each piece of content supports a larger goal.
Let’s explore a few of the different goals you may have for your content.
Content Marketing Establishes Credibility, Authority, and Trust
First, your content should position you as the trusted expert in your niche. By providing value and creating content that benefits your audience and helps them solve a key problem, you earn their trust. They’ll be more likely to return to your site, buy products and services, and recommend you to a friend.
Content Marketing Builds Your List
Second, the content that you put in your email is another type of marketing that you should embrace. You can use this type of content to help build your email list. Create outstanding content that motivates readers to want more. Create an opt-in offer that motivates prospects to sign up for your email list.
Content Marketing Builds Awareness and Branding
Third, your content marketing can spread to a large audience and help build awareness for you and your business offerings. Content can also enhance your brand personality and brand voice to help strengthen recognition.
Content Marketing Generates Sales
Fourth, your content marketing should generate sales for you. Customer conversion is often a focal point of any content marketing strategy. You can use your content to (1) convert prospects to customers; (2) promote affiliate programs; or (3) drive traffic to a sales page on your website.
Conclusion
Content marketing has many goals. Content marketing can be used to:
(1) establish your credibility;
(2) build your list;
(3) build awareness and branding;
(4) generate sales.
This is just a short list of goals. You can use content marketing to promote conversations and engagement with your audience. You can use it to drive organic search engine traffic, and to educate your customer. So start to think about the goals of your content marketing.
